This oak stick and ball curio/display cabinet , c 1890, can be used on a table top or can be hung on a wall. Incredible Baker dining set consisting of a magnificent flame mahogany table, with narrow inlaid border separating the main body from a wide satinwood (?) band. The double pedestals feature gorgeous urn shaped posts, acanthus-leaf carving, and brass feet on four legs. The two armchairs and six side chairs (eight chairs in all) are quintessential Chippendale and boast beautiful carved rails and splat, rolled knuckles, and straight legs and stretchers. The upholstery is a high end neutral fabric, accented with brass nail heads in a scalloped pattern on three sides. This set was purchased in 2009, never used, and will no longer fit in consignor’s new home. This is a rare opportunity to own a virtually NEW Baker dining set for a fraction of original cost.
